Fact Checking

Basic Evaluation: We review your manuscript or portions you submit, and provide a roughly 1,000 word summary evaluation. We consider style, content, marketability. We will tell you whether the manuscript "works" for the intended audience, and will tell you what you need to concentrate on to improve the manuscript.

Rates: 80 Cents per ms page (250 words), minimum $ 50 per project

Detailed Evaluation: We provide the roughly 1,000 word summary evaluation as above, but additionally annotate your manuscript page-by-page (or by placing comments inside your text if you submit your manuscript electronically). We show you exactly what needs to be changed throughout the manuscript, and suggest how you should change it.

Rates: $ 3.00 per ms page (250 words), minimum $ 300 per project

Copyediting (Spelling & Grammar, Style, Continuity): We thoroughly review style, continuity, spelling, and grammar, and correct your manuscript.

Rates: $ 5-7 per ms page (250 words) depending on topic and condition of manuscript

In-Depth Editing/Rewrite: If your basic writing concept is sound, but your manuscript needs in-depth revision or even a complete rewrite before it can be marketed, we will edit or rewrite for you.

Rates: $ 12-30 per ms page (250 words) depending on topic and condition of manuscript

Fact Checking: If your writing is good, but you want to be sure of your facts before going public, we will conduct fact checking for you. Accuracy is absolutely vital for non-fiction, but even novelists want to avoid the embarrassment of misspelled names, anachronistic technology, or faulty geography. Remember - credibility is the writer's capital.

Rates: $ 30 per hour
